Persons in Genesis Development’s Discovery program were ready to help sort and shelve the 291 items collected during the Jefferson park and recreation department’s annual food drive.
From Dec. 20 through Jan. 2, the daily fee for non-members at the Greene County Community Center was waived for anyone who brought at least one item to donate to the Greene County Christian Action Resource Center (ARC) food pantry. JPRD assistant director Libby Towers pushed a grocery cart full of the donated items the two blocks to the ARC one day last week.
